Friday I met up with Casey and Michael for their wicked wedding!  I started the day early at the Sheraton Ferncroft where Casey was getting ready.  Casey is one of the funniest brides I have ever had, she could make every moment a funny moment and stress free, which is pretty cool.

Casey and Michael are total animal lovers and had all their tables at the Tewksbury Country Club named after different dogs.  They even named a table after my pooch Koko!

The ceremony was at St. Johns in Peabody, so after the ceremony we headed down to the center to do some photos.  I made arangments with the owner of The Little Depot Diner to let us in for some photos.  The diner is a cool little walkway into the 30's and 40's when railroads ruled and people still drank moxie!  They actually still serve moxie at this place and I was glad that they opened just for us to shoot at!

We then headed to the reception at the Tewksbury Country Club where Casey and Michael surprised everyone with the performance by Rene Rancort, who entertained everyone with his trademark performance.

It was a wedding I will not soon forget!

Good Evening,

I am Casey's Mom and I would like to thank you for all of your wonderful time and performance. I was very nervous that day, but as soon as I got to the church I was just so overwhelmed with how beautiful Casey was.I enjoyed the time I spent with you and your assistant. Casey and Mike had made an excellent choice in choosing a photographer. Once again I would like to thank you for your BEAUTIFUL work.

So it was only a matter of time to  would have the chance to shoot one of my elementary school mates wedding!  Elyse!  I went to elementary and middle school with Elyse in Saugus and we have know each other since kindergarten, lol, although we really did not speak through our high school and college years, facebook brought us back in touch.  I guess my constant stream of wedding updates caught Elyse and Matt's eye and that was it.

For their engagement shoot we wandered the last hour of daylight in Salem last week and took in every drop of light the sun had to offer us.  Matt and Elyse were super easy to work with and were happy to follow me all over Salem to different spots I had thought of.

I pretty much gave little to no direction to the two of them, they were are so in love all I had to do was ask them to look at each other and I just clicked away.

Saturday's rain and fog did not stop Sarah and Keith from having a rocking wedding at the Royal Sonesta, in fact I thought it was the perfect backdrop for their view of the city from their ballroom.

The rain and fog refracted the light from the city and created a glow around everything, it was very cool.  Keith and Sarah were both at the hotel getting ready and I went back and forth between the two bridal party halves as they washed up, did their hair and got dressed.  I think we rode up and down the elevator half a dozen times!

The reception was beautiful, speeches were given and stories told.  Tears of joy spread like wildfire around the room and everyone was better for it.

Some couples are in love.  Sarah and Keith are love.

Sunday was a very special day for me as I was able to photograph my assistant Heidi's wedding.  Heidi has worked for me since 2006 and my company has gone a long way since then from meeting clients at starbucks to having a studio to call home now.  Heidi has been there the whole time.

The wedding was to be unique and awesome, and thats what it was.  An elegant wedding on Bourne Farm in Falmouth, Ma.  Every part of the wedding was planned or created by Heidi and Tim, from the J-Crew Suits for the guys to the dresses for the bridesmaids and for Tim's boutonnieres that Heidi made herself.  The table names werecreated the morning of the wedding by the bridesmaids with paint and an arts and craft bucket.

I was a awesome day.  Wedding DJ Curtis Knight rocked the evening and was even super helpful with holding me on  a ladder and running to grab Heidi's vail when we  needed it.  My associate Don Harney filled in for Heidi and did a great job too!

They tasted great! ht 219035.jpg Heidi's mom brought this furniture and left in in the vineyard for us to use for photos! I loved looking at these photographs. Joseph, you really captured some great moments and you have a keen eye for capturing memories. I espeacially like the picture of Heidi and Tim in mid-air, it should be on a post card or in a bridal magazine, excellent energy!

Labour day weekend has come and gone and that means Fall wedding season is here!

I started off my season shooting Sean and Cheryl's wedding at the Coachmen's Lodge in Bellingham, Mass.  It was a perfect sunny day and actually very hot!  Sean and Cheryl are one of the few couples that share some of my personal taste in entertainment, like star trek, ghostbusters and that sort, and so it was a very fun day with all the elements of a great wedding and many quotes from movies thrown out throughout the day for everyone's delight by the bridal party, including one of my favorites, "Badges, we don't need no stinking badges!"  LOL

Back to the wedding, sorry for my little divergence there.  The ceremony and reception were held at the Coachmen's Lodge, which is a function hall that also has a restaurant and bar covered in americana memorabilia that makes for a cool rustic feeling.

Here are some moments from the day:
