Saturday I met up with Jessica and Arnie for their engagement shoot over at the wicked awesome Museum of Fine Art in Boston. Jessica and Arnie are getting married in two weeks and this was their first chance to get out with me and have some fun.
We roamed the halls of artwork, took in some culture and took lots of photos. I believe this was Jessica and Arnie's first time to the MFA and I hope they really enjoyed the art and history there. I know I had a great time learning who they were and now I am excited to shoot their wedding which I know will be great!

Like every sunday morning, I wake up, pour a big glass of coffee with lots of sugar (hehe) and then sit down and read my Boston Sunday Globe and sometimes the weekend edition of the wallstreet journal.

This is my time to catch up with the world, relax and just be me. This Sunday's art section had a story about Richard Avedon's photos of JFK and Jackie and their family. I looked at these photos and was just wowed by them. I loved them. The classic pose and great structure of the shots just made me think. So then I found myself looking up JFK's wedding in 1953 in Newport, and I found some great shots by Lisa Larsen on Time/life's website. I think their wedding has a timeless look and is a great source of inspiration for modern weddings that want that newport classic vintage look, what also amazes me is the photojournalistic approach at their wedding, when so many other weddings at the time were still just line them up and shoot em, as we say, grip and grins.
Well with the rain today, and the ash in europe, I hope you find these photos inspirational.

All the colors, cupcakes and clothing would totally work for a funky vintage wedding, anyone want to wear a blue wedding gown?

Heidi, my assistant for many years was married this summer and I shot her wedding as a gift to her. She just wrote this about me on her blog and I am so happy she loved her wedding photos, here is her story below and on Heidi's blog!
I hope you have all been enjoying the last few posts I have written about some of the fantastic wedding vendors I used for my wedding. This is the final post, and is dedicated to my amazingly talented wedding photographer.

As a photographer, pictures are obviously ridiculously important to me. And wedding pictures even more so. I wanted someone that would capture the entire day from the big moments, to the tiny details, and everything in between. I wanted to work with someone who would be fun, have lots of energy, and be a photo wiz! And I knew just who I was going to call for the job...Joseph Prezioso!

Now for those of you who don't know, Joseph is one of the reasons I am in the wedding photography business. He hired me the summer after my graduation from SCAD, as an assistant/second shooter. We have photographed over 100 weddings together, and he has been a pleasure to work with, as well as a great friend. I have learned so much about photography, weddings, and professionalism from him. And, I was so happy when he told me he would be honored to photograph my big day.

As expected, Joseph captured our day like no one else can! Tim and I love looking at our wedding pictures. We love seeing our friends and family, all the smiles, the happy tears, and great moments. Each photo tells the story of our day, and they will be cherished forever. We can't thank Joseph enough, for doing such an amazing job, and being a fantastic photographer. Thank you Joseph! Thank you!

It reached 92 degrees yesterday and it was so great to feel that sun light. It was a perfect day to shoot some images of a 6 month year old Chantal at her home with her mom. Shooting babies needs careful timing, you don't want to get them when they want to nap or your won't have any fun shooting them.
Shantall was a great baby to shoot, and although I can't show you some of my favorite shots, those are for her family only, here are a few that I think you will still enjoy.
Ah, spring and babies :)
