So I just got back from spending 4 days in America's sin city. I went to get away from everything, to get some warm weather, try new foods and relax. I don't gamble, but I do enjoy sightseeing and so I walked up and down the strip many times, going to almost every hotel/casino/mall and eating at many restaurants and bars. It was great.
I decided not to take all my gear with me, as I wanted to give my shoulders a break, so all my photos were taken on my cell phone, the iphone. They are below!
My hotel, the Mirage, home to the Beetles Revolution club, a really fun place.
One of the Beetles go-go dancers!
Caesar's Palace Forum shops, it was so huge and cool!
The amazing Zoltar! You should all know what big movie this is from. Yes that was a clue.
I went to Pure inside of Caesars, and than inside Pure was the Pussycat Doll's lounge. They did some really cool singing and dancing, in a vegas kind of way. It was a really different type of nightclub from what we have here on the east coast!
At the body English night club at the Hard Rock Hotel, at 4 a.m.
A shark at Mandalay Bay flying over my head.
Me at Planet Hollywood,
and coming home.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing my long time friend Rich Griffin's wedding to his beautiful wife Stephanie. I worked with Rich for many years at the Independent Newspaper Company. Rich was a staff writer while I was a staff photographer. We covered many sport and political events together and shared the day to day stress of the news-world. It was both a fun and stressful time.
Saturday was cold, rainy, windy and pretty much a hurricane, but that did not stop anyone from having a great time. Everyone was in high spirits and ready to celebrate.
Guest were greeted at the ceremony by a bagpiper who stood out in the rain as guest were ushered into the church. It was a awesome sight to see him play in the downpour.
The ceremony was fairly quick, and because of the rain we took some shots in the church before hoping on a party trolly to get to the Tirrell room down the street.
It was another great wedding!
Below are some of my favorite shots:
Stephanie's dress was incredible, it was full of details and patterns that were just uber!

I am so sorry for posting this so late, I have just been burried up to my head keeping up with everyone's holiday print orders and wedding print sets! Anyway on Halloween my cousins stopped by with their kids to show us their outfits and get some candy. Below are some images of Joey the firefigher, Catherine the fairy and AJ the power ranger. They were all really cute and happy to get all their candy.

So last week I posted shots from engagement shoots, which was a change up from always posting wedding stories. So for another change up I thought I would just highlight some crazy dancing party shots from this past Saturday's wedding.
I photographed the uber cool couple Brad and Siiri's wedding at a the Charter Oak country club in Hudson. They had lots of friends that were all into hitting the dance floor and keeping it jam packed all night. Of course it also helped that Brad and Siiri hired a club style DJ with two turntables and a Powerbook, that kept spinning hit after hit.
To get these shots I weaved in and out through the dance floor with my camera, with once flash on my camera and another in my assistant's hand so that I can create multidimensional lighting and create cool lighting effects. Most the time I use a really wide angle lens to get these shots, but I also use my tele to get close-ups from across the room. When I use my tele I use my room strobes and no on camera flash.
So check out these shots and let me know what you think.
OK, so this first shot is not a dance shot, but it was so cool that I had to put it up. To me its a dream or memory inspired photo, I wanted it to look and feel like a memory.
This is a shot of the room decor (the dancing shots are coming), which was really uber too,
and now the dancing!

This Sunday after a great Saturday wedding I met up late in the day with Jessica and Aaron in Gloucester to take their engagement photos. Jessica and Arron are really ocean lovers, I believe they sail, and so they wanted the ocean in their photos. I wanted to do the shoot in high fashion style and had been discussing some ideas with Jessica and Aaron, they agreed and so wore some couture outfits. Jessica brought several jackets too, so we had options for all the shots. It was great.
We also stopped at a old movie set (a barn from the early 90's film Blown Away) on some ocean front property that has been rotting for the better part of two decades. It was great, there was lots of color and contrast with the rotting building.
What really made by day though was after the shoot, Jessica and Aaron invited me into Jessica's home to have some vino and appetizers with her family. I had a great time and learned a lot about the couple. I thank you!
Below are some of my favorite shots.
