I just updated my wordpress blog to a new version. It now has some cool translation features that allow the site to be viewed in Italian, French and German. The feature is located on the far left of the blog with little flags. Try it out and send a link to your friends and family in Europe to check it out!

My good friend Rebecca has entered the Miss Massachusetts contest and was also looking for a new portfolio. I could not refuse to photograph her, even though i am so busy and booked up. So this Monday we went out and had some fun. Hope you like these shots, I did the entire shoot with one camera (1dMKIIn), lens (85mm f1.2), reflector and flash (550ex).

My little cousin Nina got married on Saturday! It was a uber wedding with all the bells and whistles you can think of. A 12 hour day for us and a total of about 4000 photos, it was a big wedding! Nina and Mike were really laid back and cool about being photographed. There were some issues getting everyone together for a bridal party shot, as the ushers and bridesmaids weren't coming to Boston with us, so I had to diffuse a little situation and get the shot of everyone before all the guest pored out of St. Anthony's church. It was a little hectic, but I got the shot. We headed to the Charlestown Navy yard to take some photos before heading north to Spinelli's in Lynnfield for the reception. We had a great time just walking around the yard and I took advantage of the old WWII era equipment lying around, like the cranes and docks. It was fun. At the reception there was plenty of music, food and dancing. The lighting was great. I just love it when DJ's, bands or halls have special colored lighting for the reception, it makes a day and night difference in the quality and mood of the reception and its adds a lot of power to photographs. The reception went till 1 a.m., but because this was my family, I did put my camera down for a little while to dance with her and everyone, of course Heidi was still there to keep shooting. All in all it was a great wedding. Here are some shots! Thats me metering the light.

Anyway, we headed down to Singing Beach in Manchester by the Sea to have some fun. Here are my favorites:

Beth says:

We kept saying how much fun the shoot was after we left. The pictures really capture our personalities and the love we have for eachother. You chose the perfect location. You are truly talented and we cannot wait to see our wedding pictures! Thank you so much.

I spent this past weekend in Newport, RI photographing Nicole and James's wedding at the Rosecliff Mansion. The mansion is the same mansion featured in the film "The Great Gatsby", not sure if thats spelled right, but anyway. Its a cool place, high ceilings, statues and a great view of the ocean. The ceremony was supposed to be held on the oceanfront green, but do to being the wet the estate wanted the wedding to be held inside, which was still really cool. The band, "Beantown" was the best I seen so far, they sounded perfect and kept everyone grooving, and I mean everyone. Here are some of my picks from the day:
