I had to take Koko to the vet yesterday to get his annual rabies shot and lyme disease shot. There are a lot of ild animals and ticks in my neighborhood, so I don't want to take any risk.
Koko's doctor is Dr. Zach of the Lynn Animal clinic. Let me tell you this guy knows his stuff and he does not overcharge like some vets do. He is all about the quality of care for the animals. He saved Kokos life when he was just a puppy at the pound that I had got.
Never the less, Koko is always a little nervous when I lift him up onto the inspection table...lol.
This vet visit also gave me a chance to try out my new lens, the 85mm f1.2L canon. So far I am not sure about it, I will use it a lot more this weekend at my weddings and give a review later. But image quality seems great so far!

I could not resist taking a self portrait...LOL

Sunday I met up with Heather and Jason down on Cohasset, Ma at the Red Lion Inn. I had been waiting for their wedding for a while because it was offering me a location that I had not shot in before, a barn! The reception was being held at the Red Lion's barn behind the main hotel. Now this is no animal barn, but a renovated hall with all the trimmings, yet everything is made of wood.
The ceremony was being held at St. Anthony's, just a few blocks away and we too the bridal party photos as a little salt marsh on some private property that Jason and Heather arranged to use.
Although it looked as though it could rain at any moment, it never did and by the time of the ceremony the skies were blue and clear. The reception was lively with the band, "One step ahead". It looked like everyone had a good time, even me and Heidi!
Here are some of my favorite moments from the day.

This past weekend was another double header for me. I am late posting this blog because I have been sick with allergies and a cold, not fun!!
Melanie and Carlos, both in the Air Force, came up from Georgia with about 80 friends and relatives to get married here in Quincy on the waterfront in a gazebo.
They were married last year before being deployed into the Middle East and Afghanistan, but wanted to celebrate their marriage with everyone when they got back.
Like all things here in New England, sometimes the weather just won't play along. It was about 40 degrees and raining. The wedding and reception were moved inside and these two soldiers were happier none the less. The wedding and reception went smooth and everyone was happy!
On Sunday I got to shoot Athina and Nick's wedding. A traditional Greek ceremony and reception that was a blast to shoot. Greek weddings are very fun, because they are very cultural and provide an insight to their families lives. Nick and Athina were really cool to photograph and just fun to be around. There family was very at ease all the time and once the dancing started everyone was having a blast.
Here are some pics from the weddings:

This shot was just a test shot for my lighting, but I ended up liking it a lot. Its of the junior usher and bridesmaid.

My little cousin turned five years old yesterday. He had a back yard barbecue party with his friends at my cousins house. They all had a great time running around and using the swing set. Also there was my other cousin Joey and Aj's sister Catherine.
Check out the pics from the party in the gallery here.

I thought that is was going to be a rainy wedding weekend, but the rain held off for both of my weddings. We got nice, sunny and warm weather for both events.
Sunday found me all over Boston for Peter and Diane's wedding. I met up with Diane at the Lennox hotel, where her room overlooked Old South Church, where the ceremony would be. She was completely relaxed and at ease as she waited for everyone to get ready, including herself. She looked so beautiful in her dress!
After the ceremony we strolled along Copley Square and done Comm. Ave for some photos on our way to the reception at the Gamble Mansion. The Mansion is a great place for a wedding party. It's just a great Boston atmosphere in a classical kinda way.

Some fun shots around town...
Peter had this old bike that he rides all around town, so I asked him to bring it with him to the wedding (he had someone drop it off), and we just had some fun with it. The bike is a big part of his life, so I wanted to show that somehow in his wedding images.
On Saturday I was up at Castleton in New Hampshire to photograph Kelly and Joseph's wedding on the lake, with the reception being held at the Castleton function hall.
Both being from East Boston, they had about 300+ guest! There was plenty of food for everyone, and the DJ did a great job of keeping everyone on the dance floor until late into the night.
