Welcome to my blog! Hi everyone!  This is the place where I post my latest weddings, shoots and travel details.  If you want to see what I am doing, this is the place to be.
Ok so it has been a while since my last posting, but I have been busy! Wedding season is in full swing and I have been meeting with clients to go over their plans. So this past weekend my summer season officially began with me shooting two weddings. Deborah and Michael married at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston. We took a stroll after the ceremony through the commons for some cool portraits before returning to the Hotel to take some family shots and head for the reception in the grand ballroom. The reception was wicked cool, with no assigned seating and four food serving areas. Everything was decorated to the highest level and the food was top notch. There was a sushi table, pasta table, meat table and desert table. Michael and Deborah made rounds visiting everyone and had a blast. It was a great evening. Here are some shots from Friday... And the sushi + cake. Yum!!! The next day I got to photograph Danielle and Matt's wedding. It was a blast to work with this exciting and outgoing couple who were just having so much fun. I mean, they were just really laid back and and were enjoying themselves all day. They had their ceremony at St. Anthony's church in Revere, a beautiful place, and reception at the Hawthorn Hotel in Salem. We had planned to take photos at Derby Wharf in Salem, but as I was scoping it out earlier in the week, I was told by a ranger that it was booked by another bride and closed to the public. We got around this by just heading to Swampscott's shore drive and took some great photos there. Later the reception went on, lots of dancing and having fun. A great way to start the summer! Here are some shots of the uber couple... and the last dance.

So I had a great time at the DWF, made lots of new friends and contacts. I will miss everyone I met, very much. While I was there I attended many semianrs where I listened to other photographers talk about there styles and strategies and how we as a community need to push ourselves out of traditional wedding photography thought and into new concepts. To better help this idea, many of us, about 300+, attanded a bridal shootout in the desert lead by two top photographers. Everyone else, inclusing myself just sat down in a semi cirlce and tried to grab our own shots of the bride and groom. Well let me tell you, the bride was beutifull, and David and John had it in for her with there ideas. LOL, it was great. I also shot some fellow photogrpahers, they were just to beutifull not to photograph, and I think one of them is going to use my image of her on her web site. See them all here! Lauren, a OC photographer.

So March is usually a dead time of year for weddings, too much chaotic weather, but yesterday it was beautiful. I photographed Ashley and Robert's wedding in Southern Mass. Ashley, a member of the Air Force, found me online and did all her booking vi emails while at base down south! Robert is also in the Air Force. I started the day photographing Ashley getting ready at her moms home, than I was off to St. Joseph's church for the ceremony. We later headed to Plymouth Rock for some photos by the famous site and finally headed to Isaac's for the reception. A fine day for a wedding, it did not start snowing until about 8:00 when the last dance ended. I wish Robert and Ashley the best! Below is a selection of shots from the day. Getting Ready at home. Ashley drew this image of what she wanted her hair to look like. Some of Ashley's collections from her tour of duty. Matching her hair to her picture. Waiting.. The ceremony. At Plymouth Rock. Reception time, pictures and dancing and cake. I love their faces here, it shows how happy they are. Did I say there was dancing! And the end of the day.

I just got back late on Monday from a extra long trip to Florida. My flight was pushed from Friday to Monday and I have been play catch up ever since. I have also started building my studio which should be open in about a month, just in time for wedding season. Speaking of wedding season, I have my first March wedding on the 24th and later in April I have weddings almost every weekend. Next week I will be in Vegas at the Digital Wedding Forum Convention, I will have my laptop and phone. I will reply to emails as I get them. If I don't get back to you right away, just give me some leeway, its VEGAS!!! Ciao Joseph
