Sunday I had the chance to meet up with probaley one of my most photographed families to photograph the christening of Gigi and Socrates's son Efstathios at St. Catherines Greek Orthodox Church in the south shore.

Its a brand new church and a beatifull place for a christening.  I am italian and so our christenings are a little different, but now on my third greek christening I pretty much know all the ins and outs, now if I could only understand what the priest was saying, lol.

Non the less it was a incredible moving experience and little Efstathios was very good, and only cried a few times.

The reception was at Lake View Pavilion and was incredibly decorates and just one kick ass reception!  Their were tons of friends and families and children running around, a very good old party.

Its that time of year again when all the trees loose their leaves and turn bright colors for everyone to enjoy.

On this rainy fall saturday I photographed Jen and Chris's wedding at Stow Acres Country club.  The ceremony was going to be outside, but the rain stopped that and the ceremony was held beautifully inside the main dining hall.  What was very unique about this ceremony was that it was broadcast over the Atlantic to Chris's sister on her farm in Austria!  Very cool!

Jen and Chris really shined through the night and were a really enjoying their reception, having fun, dancing, drinking and talking to all their guest.

The rain broke for a bit and we quickly headed out to do some photos and got back inside the venue just in the nic of time before the rain resumed.

Fall colors and 65 degree weather!  What else could you wish for after a snowy weekend!

On Tuesday I met up with Susan and Nick in Charletown, near the navy yard for their engagement session.  The yard has a special meaning for both of them as it is where they had their first date and its where Nick proposed to Susan.

As we waled around and took photos I could easily see why they were so perfect for each other.  Nick can make susan laugh and bring a smile to her face at any moment and to me that is special.

This weekend I had no weddings and the snow and rain washed out my engagement shoots, so rather then spend my time doing nothing, I had some film scanned that I shot on the X-Pan on the fourth of July.

The X-pan is a camera I have been thinking about getting for my wedding work, so I tried it out this summer on a family gathering in mystic seaport.  It was a fun day in this rustic town with everyone asking me, "why what's that old camera you have there," and I would tell them, "Its a hasselblad!

The camera was fun to use, but getting the negatives scanned was a pain as it shoots in 2:35:1

I did not use any good film for this trip as I did not know how this camera was going to work out, next time I use it I am gonna use some velvia or portra 160!
