So it was a awesome year! Tons of weddings that were so incredible and beautiful. This year was also the year I switched slowly and happily back to film.

Enjoy some of my favorites, I might have to post more soon.

sunset wedding: Vai and Mike

Saturday found me in awesome newport with Vai and Mike for their wedding at Belle Mer on Goat Island. Vai and Mike were both excited for their sunset wedding as was I.

The ceremony took place at 6:00 as the sun was setting with the harbor as the background (and a large cruise ship lol). It was wicked cool.

From there it got dark very quick so we took a few shots by the water and then headed inside for family pics and the reception.

The band secret service provided music all night and kept people grooving until midnight. Vai and Mike had the entire room totally decked out and it was awesome. I had Heidi grab her tripod and she got some amazing detail shots of the room while I was taking some family formals, or informals lol. There is round bed like in the austin powers movies and we all had some fun with that lol.

During the reception, Vai's father gave a beautifull speech and Mike's grandfather sang a song for Mike to dance with his mom too.

It was a great night.

one kitchen, two chefs: Cassidy & Brendan

Cassidy and Brendan met in a kitchen at while slaving over cooking some hot meals for some hungry hotel guest in boston. It was instant love, secret dates and plenty of cool dishes of food along the way.

They were married on Sept. 19th in the public gardens. It was cloudy but dry. Cassidy was escorted by her parents and her groomsmen to Brendan who was waiting with his groomsmen under a tree with a justice of the peace.

After the ceremony we took some photos in the park and then we headed over to the reception at TORO in the south end. The reception was held in this tapa's bar and the theme was food, and lots of it. There was everything from duck wings to roasted pigs, oysters, kobe beef, sliders, and so so much more. I ate a lot myself, how could anyone not!

There were some great speeches and toast, but most of the fun came out when the beer was being poured after the cake cutting. Poured from some fancy beakers right into peoples mouths, its was cool!

a chevelle, sunglasses and a wedding : Sarah and Jon

So who drives a 1968 rebuilt chevelle to their wedding in Steve Madden shoes? Sarah, thats who. Sarah drove her car to the Granite Links Pavilion for her wedding to meet up with her groom Jon who was waiting under the tent for her.

It was a sunset ceremony and the view from the tent was Boston and lots of sky. IT WAS IMMACULATE!

The reception was filled with lots of dancing, drinking, sunglasses and fun. It was what I call a wicked good time.

I used a x-pan with tx400 kodak, portra 160vc and 400vc and a pentax 645N. There is some fujipress 800 too, which I am so sad to say has been discontinued! I am stocking up!

Also, Johnny Arguedas assisted me at this wedding and took some rocking shots!

summer fun

Last weekend I did not have a wedding to shoot. It was my first weekend off since sometime in May. I needed this past weekend to recoup and rest. I loved it. I went to the Fisherman's feast in the north end, watched the sun set in newport and had a few drinks. It was a amazing weekend.

But as always, me being who I am, I had to take a few photos. The photos from this past weekend aren't back from the lab yet, but I do have a few others here from some various days this summer.

Everything below was shot on film.
